Since Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year are just around the corner, maybe reading the following list frequently will remind us about our focus!
Pray. Get alone with God first thing. Go to bed on time. Get up. Say no, to projects that will compromise your mental health. Delegate tasks. Simplify and unclutter your life. Less is more. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places. Pace yourself. Take one day at a time. Separate worries from concerns. Live within your budget. KMS – Keep mouth shut! Such a small thing can prevent an enormous amount of trouble. Laugh. Laugh some more! Carry a small Bible to read while you wait in life. Exercise. Eat right. Get organized. Listen to music that makes you think about Jesus. Write thoughts and inspirations in a journal. Pray as you go. Don’t let things build. Make friends with Godly people. Remember the shortest bridge between despair and hope is a good “Thank you Jesus!” Take your work seriously, but yourself not so much. Develop a forgiving attitude. Be kind to unkind people. Sit on your ego. Talk less; listen more. Slow down. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
