New Beginnings

God is so good to give us new beginnings!  The incredible thing about God is that His "new beginnings" don't ever end. He gives us new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). He gives us new creation in the seasons. He gives us new forgiveness every time we ask (I John 1:9). He gives us new places of influence every time we change stages of life (Jer. 29:11-13). He puts new praises in our mouths (Psalm 40:3). He gives us a new spirit and an undivided heart when we ask (Ezekiel 11:19, 18:31, 36:26). He gives us a new attitude (Ephesians 4:23-24) and a new life at salvation (Romans 6:4). Someday, He will give us a new Heaven and new Earth (Revelation 21:1). Finally, He gives us a new mission every morning, "Go...tell the people the full message of this new life!" (Acts 5:20) 

I don't want to miss the "new beginnings" God brings, and I know you don’t either! I want to be bold in Him to go out into all the "new beginnings" in my life and tell the people the full message of new life in Jesus! 

Let's pray it will be so! "Dear Jesus, thank you that you are the God of "new beginnings!" Remind us daily that our lives belong to you and that you want to use us for your glory. Take our complacency and give us a longing for your new work in our lives. Convict us of anything that is old, jaded, or cynical in our hearts. Give us a new beginning with an undivided heart that lets us behold the new things you are doing all around us! In the awesome name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!"
