Dealing with Distractions

Now is the time to get serious about growing in Christ!  Of course, when we decide to get serious about walking by faith and listening to the Holy Spirit, the distractions are going to multiply with a vengeance.

In Matthew 26:41 Jesus told his disciples to "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

How do we watch and pray throughout the day?  To answer this, let's look at the following Scriptures to understand the kind of actions we must take to face the distractions and challenges of life.

I Peter 2:11 “Dear friends, I ___________ you, as _________________ and ________________ in the world, to abstain from sinful desires which __________  _______________ your _______________.

II Cor 10:3-5 “For though we live in the ___________, we do not wage _______ as the ______________ does.  The ___________ we _______________ with are not the weapons of the _______________.  On the contrary, they have ______________ ________________ to demolish _____________________.  We ________________arguments and every pretension that sets itself up ____________the______________ of _________, and WE ____________  ______________ _________________ _______________ to make it ___________________ to Christ.”

In what kind of world do we live as believers?
Do you approach your day armed with Scripture, knowing a battle is coming?
